The Northwest Passage Marathon on Somerset Island in Nunavut, Canada, is North America’s most northerly marathon and ultramarathon. This race is held under the 24-hour Arctic sun and against the backdrop of the fabled Northwest Passage.

During Mystic Week we will be hosting beulgua scientists from the Mystic Aquarium, North America's leading beluga whale research center. The scientists will start their beluga whale research program. This program will include not only backpacking, kayaking, rafting, exploring, participating in scientific research, and guiding but also a leadership-building curriculum designed to challenge the team and strengthen individuals. The program leader is a professional in the field of youth outdoor education.
